January is almost over and your enthusiasm for your new year resolutions may be on the wane, but here at Social Circle we like to help our members stay in tip-top condition! Today we’ve got you completely FREE access to Virgin Active at Parr’s Wood, where you can hit the gym and sweat out last night’s pub crawl around Manchester’s uber-hip Northern Quarter. (Or, if that’s a bit of a big ask, pop along and chill out in the spa.)
Alternatively, head back to the Northern Quarter and drop in to Spa Satori, where you can receive a Bio Foot Detox and enjoy the Zen Chi Relaxerciser. You’ll leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed and all of these Manchester events are completely FREE to Social Circle members.
And this evening you can show off the new and enhanced you in the sexy, smoky atmosphere of Matt n’ Phred’s, the only dedicated jazz club in the north. We’re heading along to soak up the super-cool vibes – and best of all, our members get in completely free.
Mozzies in Manchester?
The Manchester Mosquitoes Aussie rules football team was formed in 2005 by a group of Australian and British AFL fans. The following year they joined the British Australian Rules Football League (BARFL) Regional Competition in which they came 3rd overall. A few years on, we hear that they’re getting pretty good and are set to win the 2013 championship. So join us on Sunday as we head down to Burnage Rugby Club to watch them play.
Also on Sunday we’re heading to the X-Factor Live at the MEN Arena, while Thursday sees us back at the MEN as we flick channels to the BBC and take in the slinky dancefloor moves of Strictly Come Dancing live.
Free Movies!
This week’s free movies are Lincoln, Steven Spielberg’s epic biopic of the legendary US president, and Zero Dark Thirty. From the director of The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty is the controversial telling of the inside story of the hunt for the most wanted man in history, Osama bin Laden. All of our cinema trips are completely FREE for Social Circle members, but don’t delay! Lincoln is now completely booked up and there are just a few places left for ZDT.
As always we’ve got much more going on that we can possibly tell you about in one blog post, so head over to the Manchester events page to check out the details for all the events our members can enjoy in the next seven days and beyond.
