Take part in The Bruntwood Ellipse Charity Cycle Ride 2011

2011 sees the third Bruntwood Ellipse Charity Cycle Ride and follows the enormously successful second year so they won’t want to disappoint by being any less successful this year. There are three cycle challenges which support their new charities, Onside and the Factory.

The challenge aims to promote good health, fun and, of course, offers the chance to make a difference. You don’t need to be an expert to take part but if you are, you won’t be bored either as one of the three available challenges will suit. For casual cyclists, there is the ten mile ride through scenic Knutsford with the evening starting and finishing at Booths Hall. The twenty mile cycle through Cheshire is called the ‘Mini Ellipse’ and is for intermediate level cyclists. For the more advanced, there is the fifty five mile cycle through the Peak District.

Bruntwood is funding the entire event. Marshals and all those organising the event will be donating their time free of charge not just on the day but leading up to it. Their two new charities, Onside and The Factory will be benefiting from every penny donated. They are fantastic charities which were started with the purpose of building state-of-the-art, world-class centres known as Youth Zones. They provide an environment where young people are given role models and are encouraged to have new experiences.

All of the hallmarks of this event sound like a great activity for those at Social Circle to get involved with. We encourage fun and activity so why not raise money for worthy causes at the same time? Many of you guys love activities such as walking and cycling and, of course, you all love meeting new people. This also gives the chance to see some stunning scenery through the Peak District and Knutsford. So challenge yourself and book your place now.
