Meet some new Manchester friends on Chrome Hill Country Walk

The Peak District have numerous areas which offer a wonderful experience to the country walker. With their amazing views, their unique gritstone ‘edges, crystal clear rivers, and strolls along gentle limestone dales, they make for a stunning environment.

There is only one more national park in the world that is more visited than this one. It receives somewhere within the region of 30,000,000 visits each and every year. Part of this reason is its accessibility as close to a third of the UK can be there within an hour from leaving their home so most of the visits are day trips. At the South end of the Pennines, there are approximately 550 square miles of countryside and small towns. Most of the park is in Derbyshire but it also extends to Cheshire and Staffordshire.

Come and join us on Sunday for a challenging walk to Chrome Hill. Our walks always allow members to get to know each other, with plenty of time for conversation along the way. And we usually stop off for lunch afterwards where we enjoy a Sunday roast and a drink or two. The walk will be around 10 miles and will last about four to five hours.
