Bringing his 2 Michelin-starred expertise to one of Manchester’s most iconic sites, Mr Cooper’s House and Garden is the second restaurant by Simon Rogan at the iconic Midland Hotel.
Simon Rogan decided to open his second restaurant in one of Manchester’s most celebrated builsings, the Midland Hotel. Mr Cooper’s House and Garden sources ingredients from its very own Northern farms and pays tribute to Thomas Coper, whose own house and gardens once occupied this site in 1819. The food is every it as classy as the the building it stands in. It boasts a seasonal menu that features chipotle polenta and smoked salmon, and salt cod and perilla. Definitely worth a visit.
Steak and Lobster
10oz ribeye steak or whole lobster with unlimited fries and salad dressing for £18 per person.
Another venue, which chose a hotel as its home is Steak and Lobster. The eatery offers a high-end yet affordable concept to Manchester. There are only two dishes on the menu: a whole lobster or 10oz rib eye steak. Jazz music once reigned supreme in Manchester and their monthly jazz supper nights serve to remind us of this. Those nights are not simply about music, however; they also offer Cajun-themed buffets, just to prove that their forte does indeed extend beyond steak and lobster.
