As one of the UK’s most complete historic estates Tatton Park is also home to the Tudor Old Hall which is a neo-classical mansion set amidst 50 acres of stunning landscaped gardens.
The estate also hearalds a rare-breed farm and boasts 1,000 acres of deer park and 50 acres of stunning gardens which reflects over 250 years of cultivation and tendered garden design.
The estate has had its deer park since 1290 and the park land is also home to herds of Fallow and Red deer which roam freely across the wide green open spaces.
Since 1887 the rare breeds of sheep St Kilda and Soay have also been somewhat of a feature; each season brings its own rich variety of wildlife and birds.
Tatton Park’s two Meres offer a valuable habitat for both resident and migrating birds and is also regularly used for sailing and fishing.
