On Sunday 28th April at 11.30am we will be embarking on our adventure of high wires, climbing and outdoor adventure on the incredible Go Ape course which encompasses 5 full sections of obstacles and is set amongst the picturesque backdrop of Delamere Forest.
Go Ape for all those that don’t already know, is an award-winning high wire outdoor forest adventure which includes a course of swings, rope bridges and fantastic zip slides which are situated up to 40 feet up in the trees.
We will be climbing trees, crawling through tunnels and crossing high wires as well as crossing rope bridges and walking planks.
You’ll be fitted with a protection gear such as climbing harness and provided with full safety instructions from a trained instructor.
Go Ape at Delamere is the most spread out adventure course by far and is set amongst the picturesque scenery of Lake Linmere and its incredible wildlife.
The course statistics include; highest point of the course- Zip Wire platform 12 metres, Longest Zip Wire on Site 5 is 212 metres, Longest crossing is Bosun’s Chair site 4 14.5 metres.
The total length of all crossings is 760 metres, the number of crossings = 42 and there are 5 sections to the course in total.
Delamere Forest Park is a shady oasis in the midst of the agricultural landscape of the Cheshire Plain and Cheshire’s largest area of woodland.
Small Tortoiseshell butterfly, Greater Spotted woodpecker, White Faced Darter dragonfly, Green woodpecker, Siskin and Southern Hawker dragonfly.
