Ever tried glamping? Or slept in a real yurt?
From Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd June Social Circle are heading off for a 3 days 2 nights trip to the Lake District and to a prime location in the Lake District staying in a Luxury Yurt.
This 3 day trip is an all-in package for fabulous value and includes breakfasts, lunch and evening meals at this prime Lake District location.
We also include a range of guided, professional walks to suit any ability within the value of the holiday!
As everybody knows the Lake District in June is probably one of the most attractive, pictureque parts of England you could visit.
Our 3 days, 2 night holiday takes place in Borrowdale. Borrowdale is arguably THE MOST beautiful of all the valleys in the stunning Lake District and is also the gateway to the famous Scafell Pike (the highest peak of England).
and then “glamp” in the beautiful yurts, each comfortably sleeping 4-5 people on futon beds (bed linen provided) and each equipped with its own woodburner to keep you warm.
Friday – Arriving in the evening our sociable group will get to know each other over a home-cooked pub dinner
Saturday – Two routes to choose from;
a) Climbing Scafell Pike (10 miles / variant: medium hard)
b) Pike O’Stickle / Stickle Tarn, Langdale featuring stunning waterfalls (5 miles, variant; moderate).
Following a scrumptious pub dinner, a few drinks and plenty of talking and laughter we head to our yurts for the evening to do what we fancy whilst enjoying a glass of wine; exchanging stories, playing board games and enjoying a laugh together.
Sunday
An extremely picturesque, stunning walk around the Castlerigg stone circle (5 miles, variant; moderate) before returning back to Manchester.
A yurt is a portable, bent wood-framed dwelling structure traditionally used by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia.
