A weekend break in Dublin is probably one of the most fun and exciting breaks 
to take and Dublin has, over the years, quickly become one of the most exciting and popular city’s for weekend breaks because of the vibrancy and
unique character of the city and of course the friendlyness of the Irish people who live there. Dublin is situation on the east coast of Ireland and was recently named as the MOST popular weekend destinations within Europe.
Ireland’s capital city has a whole host of interesting and fun places to visit and is full of history and interesting facts as well as the; craic, guinness and temple bar! A range of museums, exhibitions and stunning architecture
can be seen everywhere you look.
Our weekend break this March takes us to a wide range of attractions and fun night spots ensuring you see all the ‘not to be missed’ places (enjoying them to the full!)
A few of the many, many highlights:
The Guinness Store House
Probably one of the most well-known, most visited places in Ireland is the Guinness Store House, located on St James’s Gate. The popular Dublin Storehouse is located in the heart of the hugely famous Guinness Brewery – named as the top tourist attraction in Ireland.
After the now 7 storey Storehouse opened in 2000 it has seen over 4million visitors cross over its threshold; its creator Arthur Guinness established the Guinness Brewery in 1759 having signed a 9,000 yr lease for the brewery for a princley sum of £45 per year.
Originally built in 1904 the storehouse was built to initially house the fermentation process for creating Guinness and as with so many buildings in Ireland at that time the design followed an architectural style that is a ‘Chicago style’
Learn what all the secret ingredients are which go into making a pint of Guinness before visting the famous Gravity Bar which offers staggering 360 views of Dublin City. A few pints of the black stuff (you’ll never taste Guinness as good as you will here)

Temple Bar
Located South Side of the River Liffey Temple Bar sits inbetween two major shopping districts; Grafton Street and Henry Street, essentially Temple Bar sits in the heart of Dublin City. It is strongly believed that this area got its name from the Temple family
who lived there during 17th Century. Considered the Cultural Quarter of the city Temple Bar is also home to a wide variety of bars, restaurants and shops.
It is the evening when this area really comes into its own and becomes flooded with party goers and revellers, very popular with stag and hen parties. Some of Temple Bar’s pubs are famous and we will be sure to take you there!
Dublin Castle
The Castle situated off Dame Street is easily accessed but we will be seeing it from open top bus. Our driver will be providing us with the history of Dublin Castle which is absolutely fascinating. The majority of the current castle remains dates
back to 18th Century although the original castle, situated in the same spot was first erected during the days of Ireland’s first Lord in the 12th Century and it was during British Rule that Dublin Castle became the centre of British occupational force.
As Irish Free State established in 1922 the Castle was then handed over to Michael Collins,
