The focus of the plot takes place in the early 20th century at the Paris Opera House with a disfigured yet mysterious composer lurking behind the scenes who is the cause of chaos at inopportune moments. He falls for a singer called Christian DaaĆ© who fails to succeed in securing a role in the latest opera at the venue and it doesn’t take long to see that there will be a price to pay.
