The production has built up a first-class reputation throughout the world thanks to its version that runs at Her Majesty’s Theatre at the West End in London. The show began way back in 1986 and performances have continued since then. It is actually second in the longest-running musicals in London as well as third in overall longest-running shows. It has further been seen on Broadway as well as in a movie version in 2004 which ensures that worldwide audiences know this amazing story.
The focus of the plot takes place in the early 20th century at the Paris Opera House with a disfigured yet mysterious composer lurking behind the scenes who is the cause of chaos at inopportune moments. He falls for a singer called Christian Daaé who fails to succeed in securing a role in the latest opera at the venue and it doesn’t take long to see that there will be a price to pay.
