Location:
Beautiful accommodation / Stunning Views – YHA Poppit Sands, Sea View, Poppit, Cardigan, Pembroke, SA43 3LP.
This year FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER WE ARE VISITING PEMBROKSHIRE IN SOUTH WALES AND WE HAVE SECURED FABULOUS coastal accommodation right on the iconic Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
Poppit Sands is a former inn overlooking the Teifi Estuary, and it stands in five acres of grounds reaching down to the sea. At the northern end of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, this area provides exceptional views of the fantastic Blue Flag beach which is occasionally visited by bottlenose dolphins, seals and porpoises.
Located at the Cardigan Bay, the most important area in the UK and Europe for bottlenose dolphins where you see the largest resident population – approximately 300 all year round. Watch the sunset from the porch as you sip your wine and chat with your friends, walk along the unspoilt Pembrokeshire coast, take a boat trip to look at dolphins and wales up close, stroll through the picturesque coastal villages or go sightseeing at the fully reconstructed Iron Age Hillfort at Castell Henllys. Pembrokeshire has it all!
South Wales is home to the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only national park of its kind in the UK with nearly 40 unspoilt beaches recommended by the Marine Conservation Society. It is truly a gem among the landscapes of Britain where you can see many bird species and bats hunting along the lines of twisting hedgerows rich with wild flowers, and Atlantic grey seals, dolphins and porpoises playing in the waves. There are some extraordinary visiting creatures as well, returning every year to the stunning Pembrokeshire’s shores: basking sharks, orcas, blue whales, blue sharks, sunfish, turtles and Risso dolphins.
